I'm only sticking with xanga for read_more_books.

that's all.

I guess it's been about six years since I started xanga? It was so cool and trendy.

We're looking for new jobs. Marc's applying all over. Right now I'm hoping for the natural food store and some volunteer time at the AR arts center. It's hard to talk to certain people because I feel like what they really want to know is have we found a job yet. And I told marc last night that I'm not worried for us. I'm worried that if it takes three months (as it has for our pastor) to find something we really want to do instead of just taking the first job that comes our way that my folks will be rude or nagging about it. It's so stupid that I'm not worried for us, but I'm worried about what I think other people will think.

A lot of wonderings and questions. I hope we end up in Portland or Savannah.

love,
jessie

sick, and reading harry potter.

probably the best thing about thanksgiving was getting to spend time with jacob and emily. last night was fun. apa cpa was at his best. i told him if he needed women to wear angel wings and stand around in their underwear, i could arange that. i love my friend cooper and my friend meredith. i missed out on the rowden extravaganza.

my dogs are great. christmas time is here. marc and i have a cupcake date for friday.

Currently Watching
My Neighbor Totoro
By Noriko Hidaka, Chika Sakamoto, Shigesato Itoi, Sumi Shimamoto, Tanie Kitabayashi
see related
distractions are the fabric of my life.

i'm learning how to sew and to make things. craftzine.com is a great website for that sort of thing. i'm reading the two towers, the groucho letters, and dead souls, and i went and bought more books at the library sale. i'll feel pretty bad if they don't get read, but then there are those distractions.

bad dreams and hearing scratching sounds in the attic and waking up really tense. that's happened a lot lately. i don't know. i just feel like there's a whole lot, but really, there's not.

that's all. everyone should watch 'my neighbor totoro.'

love,
jessie

Currently Listening

sadly, I have never listened to them before. Marc's recollection of seeing them in England is even greater to me now.
I"m also reading "The Groucho Letters: Letters to and from Groucho Marx," "The Fellowship of the Ring," and "Dead Souls," by Gogol. I've been reading Dead Souls since June... sheesh.

I'm painting the rooms inside our house. Hopefully it'll be cozy cozy cozy by Christmas time.

Nothing more to write save that my dogs are awesome now. Maybe it just takes a couple of months before they become awesome after being adopted. I ate tolapia for the first time Friday night; it was superb. I got to see my friend Meredith twice in a row--score! My mom's doing so much better, Marc's mom is on her way, and I'm taking Aunt Jimmy Sue to the doctor tomorrow.

I think I've finally settled into myself and life and things to where I can enjoy it. Cooler weather probably was the final factor in that equation.

I wish to see all of my friends and fear that I will seldom see them in the coming years, with each successive year becoming increasingly seldom.

Everyone should read The Groucho Letters and watch a Marx Brothers movie tonight.

love,
jessie
